Some paintings are more than portraits—they're conversations. In this piece, I brought together two men who never met, yet whose legacies are forever linked: Alexander Hamilton, the founding father, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, the visionary artist who gave him new life through Hamilton: An American Musical.
Painting them side by side was my way of honoring both history and creativity. One built a nation with words and ideals. The other rebuilt his story with rhythm, rhyme, and revolution. As a painter—and a huge fan of musicals—this was a dream project. It’s a thank-you letter in brushstrokes.
Lin-Manuel Miranda has long been one of my greatest inspirations. His work showed me how powerful art can be when it's rooted in truth, vulnerability, and a hunger for change.
With acrylic paint, I contrasted 18th-century formality with modern vibrancy. Hamilton stands proud, stoic, visionary. Lin mirrors him—but with the spark of someone who knows what it means to change the narrative.
